Shell briefed Eunisell Interlinked Plc after vital sub-sea electrical and fibre optic cables from the mainland to three oil platforms had been vandalised after installation and before commissioning. It was assumed that saltwater ingress had caused significant damage and affected the communication and electrical cables integrity – But the extent of the damage was unknown.
